【Soul】
The main mission of the Office of Physical Education, affiliated with the Center for General Education, is to establish physical education courses for the entire university and actively improve the quality of physical education. TMU physical education offers diverse courses that can be selected according to interest. The course selection mechanism is based on a voluntary and substitute system in which students can rank their selections based on their personal interests.

Physical education comprises three major categories (fundamentals of ball games, physical fitness, and water activities) and 16 items (basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, golf, soccer, American football, pétanque, lacrosse, aerobic exercises, yoga, physical fitness and training, swimming, training, and self-learning with rewards). Different physical education teaching goals are designed based on students’ different skill levels. Physical education teachers are also encouraged to supply teaching materials to the “I’m TMU” learning platform to increase the students’ self-learning and interaction opportunities.

【Vision】
The main objective of the physical education courses at our university is to establish correct methods for students to improve their physical fitness. We hope students can become proficient in 1–2 types of sports before graduation to facilitate exercise throughout their lives.
